Get hungry with miniature wearable & collectible foodstuff

Fruit tart anyone? How about some grapefruit to go along? You can even choose to have a full breakfast set right in your bed if you like! But there’s a caveat though – you can’t really eat them.

Yeah, these are polymer miniatures of foodstuff! And they’re intricately handmade by Shay Aaron, a brilliant artist from Israel who makes the most astonishing miniature food items.

You can grab some tea or coffee to go along with the sweets and cakes. If these are not your kind of thing, maybe vegetables and sushi will appeal to you?  Well, have a look at them at Shay Aaron Minatures. I promise that you’ll love them and they’ll make you hungry. Yes, you can buy them too and international shipping is available.

Cute handmade birthday & greeting cards made by my bestie

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you had a great time over the holiday season! I had a busy, yet wonderful time and I do wish that the holiday season can stretch a little longer. But alas, it has to come to an end. It’s a bit hard to get back to blogging here so I thought I’ll just begin by sharing with you a few cute handmade cards I have received over the season.

My bestie is one “crafty” woman and loves to do DIY cards. Because my son’s birthday fell on the beginning of the year, she made him a belated birthday card and had it sent to our home.

It’s got a cute ribbon tie and once opened up, you see a cute dog with balloons over its head. I can’t show you all of the inside in this picture but there is also a sun shining down at the doggie.

She also handmade two Christmas cards for my husband and me. See. A cute snow couple complete with snow flakes! I just love the design and the choice of colors and cute little art decors.

Here’s another one with a calendar complete with snowflakes, little flowers and gift boxes. Too pretty isn’t it? And you can most certainly tell they’re all made with so much care and attention to details.

The cute birdies wish you a chickadee merry x’mas & a happy new year

“Chickadee-dee-dee-dee! Chickadee-dee-dee-dee! Chicka”
“Cheerup, cheerup, chee-chee! Cheerup, cheerup, chee-chee!”
“Ter-ra-lee, ter-ra-lee, ter-ra-lee!”

Okay, that’s the birds’ way of saying Merry X’mas and a Happy New Year to all of you! Not quite convinced? Well, never mind. Just cheerup and enjoy the holiday season ahead! I’ll see you in 2012 with more cute stuff from across the web!

Hand painted, colorful art elephants: replicas from Elephant Parade

Have you heard of the Elephant Parade? It’s a unique combination of art, business and charity where life size, colorful art elephant statues are exhibited in well-known cities and auctioned off at prestigious gala events. And since November, the interesting Elephant Parade concept was brought into Singapore.

I’m only featuring a sampling of the elephant art here but you can check them all at the website. Many of them look so vibrant and brilliant. If you never thought much about elephants, this exhibition will change your views about them!

If you like them, you can consider purchasing smaller size hand painted limited edition replicas that are sold in ‘Elephant Parade Gallery Stores’ and the web shop.
