Cute pin toppers on cute pin cushions
What are these? Ice cream? Cup cakes? Jelly? Er…a unique flower? NO! These are handmade pin toppers on interesting pin cushions from Pinks & Needles!
And what in the world is a pin topper? According to GigiMinor who coined this term, it’s basically a sewing pin but with a surprise on the top like a cupcake or mushroom, maybe even a piece of fruit! ”Think of it as a little bling for your pin cushion!” Some of them, like the rainbow sprinkle cupcake, chocolate brioch, black forest brownie or strawberry shortcakes, are simply delicious looking! They’re 101% cute!
Yes, these pins are for sewing purposes but who’s to stop you from using them as interesting decor pieces for that little corner on the table complete with the pin cushions? And a good excuse is that most of them cost less than US$7!
Who knows? They may even inspire you to take up sewing as a hobby!

Pretty Japanese graphics from Applemilk
Japanese graphics are so lovely! Look at these from Noriko Yamamoto of Applemilk. But wait till you visit her site. There are so many free graphics and they’re all very well illustrated.
Besides people, you will find animals and characters from fairy tales and some of them are even animated. They’re make great decorative elements in your personal blog or website!
Although they’re free, they’re made possible because of Noriko’s generosity. So please remember to give proper credits when you used them. In addition, only use those that are listed under the Free Sozai menu. When you click on that, you’ll see graphics of a pumpkin and a clock. The pumpkin is supposed to list newer graphics but I don’t see anything yet. However, there are loads under the clock. Just find your way around.
