Accessories made out of cakes, croissants & cookies

Fimo Clay Miniature Patries Accessories

Found these cute accessories made of fimo clay by Elisa in Italy while surfing Flickr. They are so delicious looking! Love to sink my teeth into that pink strawberry ring, that creamy puff cake bracelet, and those hot fudge cake charms too. Oh my! I’m so hungry now!

Elisa has made a selection of necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, brooches, bobbypins, phone charms and magnets looking like cakes, maracons, croissants, biscuits and cookies. Totally yummilious! I’m sure a lot of time and effort were spent making these but she’s not charging a lot for selling them.

And why yes! She sells them at her Coffishop internationally.

Kitsch retro looking collage handmade necklaces

Collage Necklaces

Retro is in and retro is cool. Like these collage necklaces from Dadadreams’ Curious Collage Creations which are so kitsch and fun! Some of the images are taken right out of the detective books and comics which we have read when we were younger.

What’s great to know is that these necklaces are so affordable. Pay between US$8.50 and US$10 and you’ll get to wear one of these colorful collage creations. And you can get them wherever you are!

Eco-friendly designer tote bags from Singapore

Eco Friendly Tote Bags Singapore

I am both surprised and happy to find this collection of Eco-Friendly Tote Bags from B-Diff, a Singapore company. Way to go! Good to know that we have local designers who are taking the lead to encourage everyone else to save the environment in a fashionably fun way.

“Our efficient cutting and sewing methods, along with defined printing, minimizes fabric and material waste. All of our totes are of standard size allowing us to optimize our materials. Our bags not only encourage end-consumers to save our environment, every bag is unique without losing practicality! Each bag has a different concept graphic and different themes will be launched seasonally.”

I like the simple and clean designs. Certainly totes I would carry. The prices are reasonable and even though they’re based in Singapore, B-Diff ships internationally too.

And they have a store here:
Decorhut (at The Central above Clarke Quay MRT Station)
6 Eu Tong Sen Street,
#04-73 The Central,
Singapore 059817

Check them out!

Sweet smelling vintage handkerchief embroidered sachets

Vintage Handkerchief Sachets

Aren’t these lavender-filled sachets crafted from vintage fabrics and handkerchiefs irresistible? They’re embroidered, printed with flowers, or crochet-edged so prettily! Sizes apparently vary, but most are approximately 7 inches square which means you can tuck them into your linen closet or drawers for the sweet smelling scent.

My favorite is Turquoise Violets which is the first top left design with embroidered floral hanky over blue crocheted hanky over green striped cotton.

Each piece is limited edition and cost US$16 with options for international shipping. Available at Primose Design.

Tea inspiration for fabulous quilted crafts

tea patchwork

I never knew one can be so creative with quilted crafts. Look at these cute tea kettle pillows, teacup pillows and teacup pouches from Patchwork Pottery. Totally amazing!

All these are designed and handmade by Laurraine Yuyama who live in Burnaby BC, Canada. Laurraine describes herself as “a crafty mommy who is inspired by tea, Japanese quilting books, and the online craft community.” I’m a tea lover and I found so much joy just looking at how she has created such fabulous crafts out of my favorite subject. I really like to have one of those teacup pouches!

Patchwork Pottery ships internationally but it seems she’s not taking any custom orders at the moment. But check up her blog and her Flickr gallery for updates. It looks like she’s working on her teacup pouches for sale soon.
