Postcard versions of Gouache paintings on cupboards
I am very impressed with these series of gouache paintings by Claire Louise that are done on cupboard. The girls depicted in her paintings of full of childlike innocence and yet when you examine them closely, there are some elements that are uncharacteristic. I particularly love her piece “Hung Out To Dry”. “Cup City” is also unique.
This is the first time I’ve come across gouache paintings and I learnt that this is a heavy opaque water colour painting technique. Looks really interesting to me. Maybe I should try to attempt this when I can find the time.
Some of these paintings are available as large postcards measuring 216mm x 139mm. You can request for it by asking Claire at PuppyFat. Just fill in your details on her contact page.
